I was prescribed Hydrocortisone 1% Rectal Cream for my hemorrhoids and I'm a bit nervous about using it. The side effects list is pretty scary, and I'm not sure what to expect. Does anyone know if this can cause long-term skin issues? The thinning of the skin thing for me is the most worrying. What if I use it too long? Is there a safe limit of time to use this? I'm worried I'll be stuck with this issue forever.
I used this for a few weeks and it was a game-changer. At first, yes it burns and you feel some tingling, but it really helped with the swelling and pain. I just made sure to clean the area first and apply a thin layer. It's not fun but it's worth it if you're in pain.

I feel you. I used this for my hemorrhoids and it helped a lot with the itching and swelling but it was such a hassle to apply. I think if youre going to use it just make sure you get it right and don't skip steps or you'll be in for a world of discomfort.
OMG I had no idea this is a thing. I would rather suffer through the hemorrhoids.
