I was prescribed Iodoqu-HC-aloe Poly 1/2/1% Gel for a nasty skin infection that also had some inflammation. The doctor said it combines Iodoquinol to fight the infection and Hydrocortisone to reduce redness and itching. I've started using it, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else used this? What was your experience like? Any tips on managing side effects or making the treatment more comfortable?

I had to stop using it because of severe dizziness. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction. If you feel like something is off, don't wait it out, contact your doctor immediately.

I'm glad I found this thread. I just started using this gel and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Thanks for all the insights and experiences shared here!

I used this gel for a few weeks and it worked well for my infection, but I noticed some pimples and stretch marks. It was a bit worrying, but my doctor said it's a common side effect.

I've been using this for a few days and I'm already experiencing some burning and dryness at the application site. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Did anyone else experience weight gain? I started noticing it a few weeks in and it's been tough to manage.

I had a similar issue and my doctor advised me on how to manage the side effects better. For instance, if you experience skin thinning, you might need to switch to a lower concentration of hydrocortisone. Always consult with your doctor to make sure you're using the lowest effective dose.

If you're using this, make sure to apply a thin layer and avoid getting it on your face. I made that mistake and ended up with some nasty side effects.

I used this gel last year for a fungal infection. It worked great, but I did have some itching and dry skin at first. Stick with it, it should get better.

Be very careful with this stuff. I had a weird skin irritation that I didn’t even think related to the gel. It might not be your skin or a side effect at all. Always consult with a dermatologist.
