I've recently been prescribed Isopto Carpine 2% Ophth Soln 15ml for glaucoma and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The doctor said it helps drain fluid from the eye and lowers pressure, which is good, but the list of side effects is pretty scary. Has anyone else used this? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. How long did it take to see results? Did you have any of the severe side effects? I'm particularly worried about the eye pain and blurring—any tips for dealing with those?

My grandma used this for years and it never seemed to bother her too much, but her case wasn't as serious as mine. I have had to use it a while before I see results and when I did, it's been great.

I've had this happen to me once, and I thought it was part of how I would deal with it but turns out it was a severe allergic reaction to the eyedrops.

I'm a bit hesitant to try it myself. Anyone have any luck with other treatments if haven't had any luck on this drug?

It sucks, but I'm glad it's working for me. Everything I've read makes it seem like I have a great chance at keeping my vision. And It only took a week before I saw any improvement.

My glaucoma is pretty severe, and it's only been a week for me, so I'm still waiting for an improvement. I've been on a lot of different medication and this one was the least effective of them. I had to return to my other medication.

I've been using it for a few months now, and honestly, I've only had some minor eye irritation. It's a big relief to know I can keep my vision with medication and not have to worry about pressure buildup. Definitely worth the mild discomfort and slight irritation in my opinion. I noticed an improvement in my vision after a week.

I can't wait to give up this dope to see if I can get the same result. I've been living with glaucoma for a good 5 years. I'll just keep on going with it. It's definitely worth it when you get to that point.
