I've recently been prescribed L-M-x 4% Cream for some painful insect bites. The cream seems to work well in numbing the area, but I'm a bit concerned about the possible side effects. Has anyone else used this cream for similar issues? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially if you've encountered any of the more severe side effects like allergic reactions or methemoglobinemia. Any tips on how to avoid or manage these would be greatly appreciated!

I actually had a sketchy experience with this cream. I woke up feeling really dizzy and confused. Scary stuff.

I had a really bad reaction to it. Got hives and had trouble breathing. Went to the ER and they told me to avoid it in the future.

I used it for a bad beetle bite and it worked like a charm. No side effects to report, but I did apply it sparingly.

My friend used it and got this red rash. The doctor said her skin didn't like the lidocaine.

I’m really nervous about the acidosis symptoms. How can you tell if you’re feeling extra tired because of the cream or just because you had a long day?

I tried it once and got this weird sensation of feeling hot and cold at the same time. It was really disorienting.

I've used it a few times for minor procedures. Never had any issues, but I always keep an eye out for those severe side effects.
