I was prescribed Leucovorin 10mg/ml Inj (10ml) to protect my healthy cells from the effects of methotrexate. I've read about the potential side effects, like allergic reactions and seizures, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. How effective was it for you? Did you experience any of the side effects listed? And if so, how did you manage them? I'd love to hear any tips on making this easier to deal with. Thanks in advance, everyone!

Oh, absolutely! It's great to have something to mitigate the effects of methotrexate, but be prepared to get through the first few treatments. It's not fun, but it's doable.

This drug is like a lifesaver. I've been dealing with Methotrexate side effects for a while, and my doctor prescribed me Leucovorin. It's made a huge difference. I still get some side effects, but they're much more manageable now. Just remember to stay hydrated and keep an eye out for any signs of allergic reactions.

Avoid taking Leucovorin if you have any allergic reactions to folic acid or any other ingredients. If you're unsure, consult a medical professional about it.

If you have any rash, hives, or itching, it's important to go to the hospital ASAP. My doctor was pretty insistent on the urgency of this. After all, that's what the leaflet says.

My wife has been using Leucovorin, and she's had some hard days. It's definitely not a walk in the park, but it's better than the alternative. Make sure you have a good support system in place.

I'm starting to feel a little itchy after my first dose. Should I be worried?

My friend was on Leucovorin and had a really rough time with it. She experienced severe dizziness and had to stop taking it. Just want to put that out there so people are aware it can happen. Always check in with your doctor about any changes.

I've been on Leucovorin for a year now, and it's been a lifesaver. I had bad nausea and fatigue with methotrexate, and Leucovorin helped me manage those side effects. But I did have some side effects, like mild diarrhea and skin rash, which went away after a few days. So yeah, it's not perfect, but it's definitely worth it.

So, I've been on methotrexate for my psoriasis and have been experiencing some pretty awful side effects - fatigue, nausea, and hair loss. Is Leucovorin supposed to help with any of those? My doctor didn't mention it.

I've been on Leucovorin for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. I didn't experience any severe side effects, just a bit of nausea initially, which went away after a few days. But yes, I've had some minor reactions to Methotrexate, so I'm glad I have Leucovorin to help. Be ready for frequent blood tests, though - they're a pain but necessary.
