I was prescribed Mycolog-II Ointment 15gm for a fungal infection with inflammation. The ointment contains Nystatin for the fungal infection and Triamcinolone to reduce redness, itching, and swelling. I'm curious about others' experiences with this medication. I've had some burning sensations, which I think are normal. Are there any long-term side effects or things I should watch out for? The drug insert lists some pretty serious side effects, including allergic reactions and signs of high blood sugar. Has anyone experienced anything like this? It's a bit worrying.

I noticed some weight gain, but it could've been from stress. It's always hard to tell.

It made my skin really irritated, I'll never try it again. Be careful using this stuff

Maybe I'm just lucky, but it cleared up the infection with no issues.

I didn't know this was steroids...sheesh, I better go back and read the insert again.

My doctor said the steroid in it can mess with your blood sugar. I had to monitor that closely.

Just be careful! If you have any sign of an allergic reaction stop using it and get medical help right away. No joke. I'm not joking I might have died.

I used it for a while and then stopped. I didn't have any serious side effects, just some itching and dry skin.

I have used this for years and haven't had any problems. Maybe I'm just a superhero?

I've used it before and it worked great for my yeast infection. No side effects, but I did feel some burning at first.
