I've been dealing with a persistent case of athlete's foot for the past few months and my doctor prescribed Naftifine 2% Gel. I've read that it works by stopping the growth of the fungus, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. How long did it take to see results? Were there any side effects? I've seen the warning about severe allergic reactions, so I'm a bit nervous. Any insights or tips from your experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I got this for my ringworm and it was pretty effective. It took a while to clear up, but it worked. It did sting a bit at first, but nothing too bad. Just be patient, it takes a bit of time to work. I think I had a good experience with it.

I used it for jock itch and it cleared up in about two weeks. No major side effects, just a bit of redness at first. Just be sure to wash your hands after applying it, I think I accidentally got some on my face and it burned!

I used this gel last year when I got athlete's foot during summer camp and it worked like a charm, but I did experience some irritation at the application site. So, I stopped using it for a day or two before re-applying. I think applying a thin layer and spacing out the applications is best.

I had a bad reaction to this gel. I got hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. Putting it on my skin was like setting it on fire. I'd be really cautious and make sure you can get to a doctor quickly if you have any issues. I think I was just allergic to one of the ingredients.

Did your doctor give any tips for application? Like, should it be applied before bed or after a shower? I'm just trying to maximize its effectiveness.

It did stink to high heaven. It is a bit thick and hard to deal with, but it's worth it to get rid of the fungal infection. It's a pretty disgusting smell. But it is worth it to use daily for a few weeks, and then the smell is gone. And the fungal infection is gone. So, get ready for a few weeks of crazy smelling feet and groin and enjoy the results.

I think the gel is pretty effective, but I found that it ran off my toes after I'd put it on. So, just be careful if you try the gel and avoid the tincture. I've seen it mentioned that the gel is less effective than the cream.
