I was prescribed Neo/poly/dex 0.1% Opth Oint 3.5gm for a bacterial eye infection with inflammation. I've been reading about the possible side effects, and I'm a bit worried. Yep, used it for a corneal abrasion. It worked well, but I had to deal with some eye irritation. I just kept using it as prescribed, and it eventually went away. I kept the tube in the fridge, which helped with the burning sensation. Definitely do that if you can.
I had a really bad experience with this. It stung like hell when I put it in, and I ended up with a really bad rash. Like 20 minutes of relief, but it definitely was not worth it. I had to switch to a different ointment in the end, so be cautious.
I used this for an eye infection and it worked well. My eye got really itchy, but it wasn't severe. Just a minor side effect, and it was worth it to get rid of the infection. Overall, I’d recommend it if your doctor prescribes it.
