I was prescribed Ondansetron ODT 4mg Tablets to help with nausea and vomiting after a recent round of chemotherapy. I've never used an orally disintegrating tablet before, so I'm curious to know how it works compared to regular pills. Does it dissolve right away? How soon does it start to work? I've heard it can cause some serious side effects, so I’m a bit nervous. Has anyone else had good or bad experiences with it? I'd love to hear some firsthand accounts before I start taking it.

I had no side effects at all. It worked perfectly. I will be using it again. It was a miracle for me. I can’t believe I’ve been living with the side effects of nausea and vomiting for so long

I'm glad you asked about this. I had no idea Ondansetron could have such serious side effects. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it. Thanks for the heads-up!

I switched to a different medication because of the potential heart issues. It's not worth the risk for me. I'd rather deal with a little nausea than risk my heart. It’s to each their own though

I found the ODTs really convenient. I could take them anywhere, no water necessary. But I did experience some anxiety, which was weird because I don't usually have anxiety issues. Maybe it was just the stress of the situation, though.

I've had headaches pretty bad when I used this. It was so bad that I had to stop. I’ve tried other medications since. If the headaches effect you all the time ask your doctor about other options

Just started taking it yesterday. So far, so good. No side effects yet, and the nausea is much better. Fingers crossed it stays this way. I’m Hoping for the best

I've used Ondansetron ODT for a few cycles of chemo. It dissolves super quickly, no water needed. It started working within 30 minutes for me. No serious side effects, just a bit of a headache and a touch of sleepiness.

I had a bad experience with serotonin syndrome. It was scary. I had no idea it could happen. I had fast heartbeat, shivering, and severe headache. I ended up in the hospital. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

I had a really bad reaction to it. I got hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a history of allergies.

My doctor warned me about the QT interval issue, but I didn't experience any heart problems. I did feel a bit dizzy at first, but it went away. It's worth talking to your doctor about any concerns, though. They know your medical history and can help you decide
