I'm just curious about others' experiences with this emergency contraceptive. I've heard it can be really helpful in a pinch, but I've also heard the side effects can be nasty. Specifically, I've been wondering about the potential for strong side effects, like severe stomach pain or allergic reactions. I heard from a friend that she had a miserable time with it, but maybe she just had bad luck? Has anyone had a similar experience, or maybe a good one to balance it out? Does it work as well as other morning-after pills? Does the timing of when you take it change anything?

I've never used Opcicon but a close friend of mine had a really bad reaction. I think if you are considering this, you should really talk to your doctor, and consider other options first if possible. If you want to know more, check out the site https://www.fda.gov/medwatch.

I've used it twice and both times I felt nauseous and had a headache but no other issues. It's not fun but it's a solid option in case of emergency. Just make sure to take it as soon as possible after unprotected sex. I think I read somewhere that it's more effective the sooner you take it. My friend had a similar experience - maybe it's just one of those things that affects everyone differently?

I had a friend who took Opcicon and swore it messed up her menstrual cycle for months. She had really heavy periods and terrible cramps. Just be aware that it can have long-term effects. Definitely talk to a doctor if you experience anything like that

For those who have had bad experiences, did you report your side effects to the FDA? It's important to document these things so they can monitor the safety of medications.

I had a really bad experience with Opcicon. I got severe stomach pain and ended up in the ER. Definitely not worth the risk for me.

I'm just tired of the stigma around emergency contraceptives. They are important tools for preventing unwanted pregnancies. Let's be real - accidents happen, and this is one of the ways we can reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies

Opcicon is the worst. I had skin irritation and swelling, and they said I might have had an allergic reaction! I can't believe they let this be on the market. It's not safe. Allergic reactions like that can be really serious, so be careful

Emergency contraceptives should NOT be used as a regular birth control method. They are a last resort and not meant for frequent use. Always make sure to get professional help to understand the risks involved

I work at a clinic and have seen a lot of people come in with side effects from Opcicon. The most common are nausea, vomiting, and headache. It's important to stay hydrated and rest if you experience these.

I took Opcicon once and had no issues at all. No side effects, and it worked perfectly. I think it's a great option to have if you need it.
