I was prescribed Perphenazine 2mg Tablets for severe nausea and vomiting. The doctor mentioned it can also help with psychotic symptoms. Has anyone else used this medication for either condition? I'm curious about the side effects and how well it works. Are there better alternatives? I've heard mixed things and would love to hear some real-life experiences and advice. How long does it usually take to work? And are there specific diet or lifestyle changes that help while using this medication?

Be cautious with this drug. I had to stop taking it because of some pretty scary side effects. Not worth the risk for me. Stick to anti-nausea meds. I was vomiting nonstop but after taking Perphenazine, the nausea was still there and I felt worse. Maybe it works for others though.

I've used Perphenazine for schizophrenia, but I haven't needed it for nausea. It works well for the psychosis, but the side effects were pretty rough at first. Dizziness and drowsiness were the worst.

I just started it and the dry mouth is insane. I'm drinking gallons of water and still feel dehydrated. Is this normal?

It's helped me with my hallucination issues but my psychiatrist said I should be careful because of a rare problem called NMS. The dizziness threw me off at the start. Anyone have tips to fight the side effects? Can't go to work if I'm constantly dizzy.

I've had this medication prescribed for my mom and it works well for schizophrenia, but make sure to monitor the side effects, like drowsiness and constipation. If you experience any of the urgent side effects, seek medical attention immediately. Keep a log of any changes and communicate with your doctor.
