I used Silvadene for a bad burn a few years back. It worked well and I didn't have any major side effects. Just a bit of skin irritation initially, but it went away quickly.
I find it scary that it can cause more severe side effects. I would be contacting your doctor if you see any signs of an allergic reaction.
I had to switch to something else because of a severe allergic reaction but that could just be me.
If anyone experiences difficulty urinating, that's a serious issue and you should go to the ER
I had no idea this stuff could cause liver problems. Scary stuff, definitely something to keep an eye on.
I've used it and the burning sensation was the worst part. After that it helped a lot.
I'm an ER nurse and we use this a lot for burn patients. It's generally very effective, but you do need to watch out for those allergic reactions. If you experience any signs, stop using it immediately and get help.
