Has anyone used Sod Sulfa/Sulfur 9.8-4.8% Liq 285gm for acne or rosacea? How did it work for you?
I've been struggling with persistent acne and rosacea for years. Recently, my dermatologist prescribed Sod Sulfa/Sulfur 9.8-4.8% Liq 285gm. I've used it for a few weeks now, and while I've seen some improvement, I'm still experiencing a bit of dryness. I'm wondering if anyone else has used this and had similar experiences. Did you stick with it, or did you switch to something else? Any tips on managing the dryness would be appreciated too!

I'm struggling with this too. A friend of mine told me to cut back to once a day instead of twice. I've seen a bit of improvement.
I used this for a month and it cleared up my acne. But then I got a rash and had to stop. Turns out, it was a mild form of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. It wasn't fun.
I've found that using a good moisturizer really helped with the dryness. I also used a gentle cleanser in the morning and the Sod Sulfa at night. It took a few weeks, but my skin eventually got used to it.
This stuff can be rough on the skin. I used it for a bit, but the dryness and irritation were too much. It did clear up my acne, but I ended up switching to a gentler sulfacetamide wash. Maybe try that instead?
I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and have seen significant improvement in my acne. The dryness was tough at first, but I started using a heavy-duty moisturizer before bed and it helped a lot.
I think everyone reacts differently to these medications. If it's helping, try to stick with it. But if you experience any severe side effects, stop immediately and talk to your doctor. This is a tough call.
I’ve used this for years for my rosacea. Just make sure to patch test first and gradually build up the frequency to twice a day if you can tolerate it.
I had a severe allergic reaction to this stuff. My skin was red, swollen, and itchy. I had to go to the ER. If you experience any of those signs or symptoms, too, no kidding, get to the ER ASAP!
I used this stuff for a month and it helped clear up my acne. The dryness was a bit annoying, but it went away after a while. Just make sure to moisturize well!
I'm surprised your doctor prescribed this for rosacea. It worked well on my acne but made my rosacea flare up. Maybe try a different topical for rosacea? What other treatments or products did the dermatologist prescribe alongside this?
