I've been struggling with severe acne for years. Recently, my dermatologist prescribed Sod Sul/sulf 10-5% Emu Wash. It contains sulfur and sulfacetamide, which should help with my acne. I'm concerned about the potential side effects though, especially since I've had severe allergic reactions in the past. Anyone have experience with this? Did it work? What should I do if I experience any of the side effects which are listed as severe?

Anyone else feel like this stuff smells like rotten eggs? It’s so strong, it’s hard to get used to. But it seems to work, so I stick with it.

I just got a call from my dermatologist and apparently this wash can help with seborrheic dermatitis too. Who knew? If you have that, might be worth checking it out.

Great point. It's always good to consult a doctor before starting a new skincare regimen.

just works, just use it. No big deal.

Yes! I started using this last month, and my acne has improved drastically. I apply to affected areas once a day, and my skin is less oily and less prone to breakouts. It does sting a little at first, but it gets better. Just make sure to do a patch test first to see if it agrees with your skin.

I had a bad reaction to this wash. I broke out in hives and my throat felt tight. I had to stop using it right away. Scary stuff! I had to go to the ER, they gave me some steroids and I was ok. I would really watch yourself on this one.

I think it’s important to note it's not for everyone. I tried the Sod Sul/sulf wash for a week but had to stop due to severe itching and redness. I am sure it was the wash since it went away after a few days of not using it. I would recommend getting a doctors advice before starting this or any other treatment.
