I've been struggling with severe acne for years and my doctor recently prescribed Sodium Sulfacetamide/Sulfur 8-4% Suspension. I've heard mixed things about it-- some say it's a miracle worker, others say it's horrible. Has anyone else tried it? What were your results? Any tips or warnings? I'm nervous to try it but desperate for clearer skin. How often should I apply it and for how long? Also, what should I do if I experience side effects? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks.

I've used it and it worked wonders for my acne. I applied it twice a day after cleansing my face. It did dry out my skin a bit, so make sure to moisturize!

Be careful, it made my skin super itchy and I had to stop using it. I'm not sure if it was an allergic reaction but it was really uncomfortable

I had a bad reaction to it. My skin started peeling and I had a fever. I had to go to the doctor and they said it was a severe skin reaction. Be careful and watch out for any signs of an allergic reaction

I think it's worth a try, but it's always good to have a backup plan if it doesn't work out for you. Maybe you could ask your doctor about other options just in case. Good luck!

I have Lupus from Sulfacetamide. I didn't know I would have a reaction but I did and it was scary. The doctor never warned me. It gives me a rash and I have joint pain. Be careful

I used it and it got rid of my acne completely but it took a long time. It worked for me but I know everyone is different. Definitely give it a shot but be patient!

It’s great for acne but I found the 8-4% concentration was too strong and irritated my skin. I switched to a lower concentration and it worked much better. Might be worth asking your doctor about that

Applying it consistently and giving it time to work was key for me. I used it every day for about 2 months and saw a big difference.

Watch out for that awful smell! It’s so bad it almost made me not want to use it. But it does work so..
