Has anyone used T-Stat 2% Solution 60ml for acne? Share your experience and side effects!
I've been prescribed T-Stat 2% Solution 60ml to treat my acne, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The doctor mentioned this is a topical antibiotic, and it works by stopping bacteria growth and reducing inflammation. I want to know if anyone here has used it and if they experienced any serious side effects, especially allergic reactions like hives or difficulty breathing. It sounds scary, but I’m hoping for the best. Has anyone been through this? I would love to hear your stories and any tips on how to manage the side effects if they come up. I’m also curious if anyone had any tips on how to apply it correctly. Let me know if you have any advice!

I had a really bad reaction to it. I got hives and had trouble breathing which was terrifying. I had to go to the ER. But my friends told me that it worked well for them so I guess everyone's different.
I found that using a gentle cleanser before applying T-Stat helped a lot. It made my skin less irritated and the acne cleared up faster. I also used a non-comedogenic moisturizer.
I'm on my second week and I feel like my skin is getting worse. Is this normal? Is it just purging?
This thread is making me second guess my prescription. I'm on the fence about starting it now. If it is so risky, why even use it?
Be prepared for some dryness, but it's worth it if it clears up your acne. Just make sure to listen to your body and if something feels off, stop using it and talk to your doctor. If it works for you, you'll be clear within a few months.
I never had any issues using T-Stat. It's important to apply a thin layer to the affected areas and wash your hands immediately after to avoid spreading bacteria. It might be helpful to apply it at night and wash it off in the morning if you find your skin getting too dry.
I used T-Stat for a few months and it worked wonders. I did experience some dryness, but it was manageable with a good moisturizer. No serious side effects for me, though. Just be careful if you have sensitive skin.
I used this for a while and noticed some dryness and peeling, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to moisturize well and you should be fine. Hopefully, it works for you!
