Has anyone used Temovate .05% Emollient Cream for severe eczema? What was your experience like with the powerful steroid cream?
I've been prescribed Temovate .05% Emollient Cream for severe eczema. This is a very potent steroid cream, so I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. I've heard it can cause things like skin thinning, stretch marks, and even more serious issues like Cushing's syndrome. Has anyone else used this and have any advice or experiences to share? I want to make sure I'm using it correctly and safely. What are the urgent side effects I should be looking out for? Any other tips for managing severe skin flare-ups?

I've used Temovate for psoriasis and it worked wonders, but I had to be really careful. Make sure to use it exactly as prescribed and don't overuse it. I'm glad I only had mild side effects,. Your doctor can guide you on how to monitor the condition.
I hate that this stuff burns and stings but I guess that's the price we have to pay for getting better
Avoid using this if you have diabetes or high blood pressure. The fruity breath is no joke. If you start feeling sleepy, get help.
I went to the doctor once and they said I was experiencing some mood changes but I was fine. I had some severe dizziness and muscle weakness. Not sure if that was from my condition or the drug. Your mileage may vary.
Do not use this as a last resort. It may get addictive and you may not be able to use it after what the doctors say.
I've had a bad reaction to steroid creams before, so I'm always cautious. If you experience any severe side effects, get medical help immediately. I know someone who had trouble breathing and swelling and ended up in the hospital.
