I was prescribed Tobradex Ophth Susp 10ml for an eye infection with inflammation. The doctor says it's a combo of an antibiotic (tobramycin) and a steroid (dexamethasone) but I'm curious about others' experiences. I've read about some scary side effects, so I'm hoping to hear from folks who've actually used it.

How well did it work for you? Did you notice any of the side effects, like eye irritation or blurred vision? Did you have a bad reaction, or any other unexpected issues?

Also, if you had good or bad experiences, how long did it take for the meds to work? Did you keep using it after the infection cleared up, or did your doctor have you stop?

I'm a bit nervous about all the stuff that can go wrong with Tobradex, so any tips on how to minimize side effects would be great. Thanks!

Tobradex worked great for me! It cleared up my eye infection in a few days. No side effects, either. Just make sure to keep your eyes clean and don't use it if you have contact lenses in.

Tobradex is a lifesaver. I used it and had no issues. I had to use it for a week though, so it didn’t clear up immediately. The infection was pretty bad.

I had a horrible reaction to Tobradex. My eye turned bright red and started to burn like crazy. I couldn't stop rubbing it. My doctor switched me to a different antibiotic and it cleared up just fine. I’d steer clear if you can.

I used Tobradex a few years back when I had a nasty eye infection. It worked well, but I did notice some irritation and blurred vision while using it. My doctor told me these side effects are common and should go away once you stop using the drops, and that's exactly what happened. Not a bad experience overall, but I was glad to be done using it.

I’ve used Tobradex a few times, and I found it incredibly effective. Be careful when taking it; it seems like the dosage can be a bit tricky.

I’ve heard about using these drops when you don’t have an infection. Not a good idea!

I had a friend who used Tobradex and didn’t follow the instructions properly. Ended up with a bad reaction.

Hey, what if you're pregnant? Does anyone know if it's safe for pregnant women?
