I've been prescribed Tranexamic Acid 650mg tablets to help manage my heavy menstrual bleeding. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the rare but serious ones like blood clots and seizures. Has anyone else used this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Did it work well for you? How did you manage any side effects? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! If this has helped you, I'm curious to know how long it took to see results and if you had any issues with other medications. Also, wondering if anyone has tips for when to start taking this medication in relation to your menstrual cycle.

I had some muscle cramps when I first started taking it, but they weren't too bad and went away quickly. It’s been a lifesaver for dealing with heavy bleeding. I swear by it.

I've heard it can get a bit expensive but there are various ways to get it covered by insurance, which helps. Has anyone had issues with insurance covering this medication?

OMG, I got so much better after the first 2 weeks. I started to notice the reduction in bleeding and pain - it was amazing. This is the best medicine I've had about periods.

I've been on Tranexamic Acid for about 6 months now. It's made a huge difference in my periods! They're much lighter and shorter. I did get some headaches at first, but they went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to take it at the start of your period, as directed.

I was a bit worried about the blood clot side effects, but my doctor assured me that the benefits outweighed the risks for me. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. It was a great medication, just be ready for a bit of fatigue.

I had some serious eye pain, especially in the first week of use, and it was scary. I'm not sure if it was a side effect but went to the doctor right away. It was good to hear it was just an issue with blood flow to my eyes.

I felt so much better after the first 3 months. I would recommend this for sure! It's worth the effort to manage the cycle. It’s not so bad.

Be aware that Tranexamic Acid can cause nose stuffiness. It was a bit annoying at first, but I got used to it. Also, drink lots of water to help with the side effects. It really helps with the period.

I didn't have any serious side effects, just some mild headaches and fatigue. But it made my periods so much more manageable. I really wish I started taking it sooner.

Very disappointed that I didn't see any results. I started taking it at the onset of my period and it didn't seem to help much at all. May need a different medication eventually.
