Has anyone used Tretinoin 0.1% Cream to treat acne or improve skin texture?
I've been struggling with acne for years and have recently heard about Tretinoin 0.1% Cream as a potential solution. It's derived from Vitamin A and is supposed to promote skin cell turnover and prevent clogged pores. I've also read that it can help with fine wrinkles and rough skin by stimulating collagen production. However, I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe reactions. Has anyone here used this cream? What was your experience like? Did you face any significant side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I'd love to hear some real-life stories and advice!

I've been using 0.025% tretinoin for a really long time. It takes forever to see results. As I age, I worry I'm drying out my skin too much. Upgrading to 0.1% is too much for me now. But I would still recommend it to someone looking for acne treatment. I'd recommend working one’s way up to a stronger cream, but everyone's mileage will vary.
Has anyone had any experiences with other topical treatments? I've been thinking about trying something else if my Tretinoin doesn't work out.
I think it's worth a shot if you're struggling with acne. The side effects can be annoying, but if you stick it out, it might just change your skin game. Remember everyone is different. Your mileage may vary.
I've heard it can make your skin really sensitive to the sun so always wear sunscreen. I also wouldn't recommend it if you have any history of contact dermatitis or other skin sensitivities.
I tried it and had to stop because of the severe dryness and peeling. My skin was so sensitive that even light sunscreen seemed to irritate it. I gave it a solid month, but the side effects were too much for me. My doctor said it's not uncommon, so I swapped to a gentler retinoid. Still, I’d recommend it if you can handle the adjustment period.
I've heard that you can mix it with a moisturizer to lessen irritation. Has anyone tried this? Makes it easier to deal with the dryness, or might just dilute the effectiveness? Thoughts?
I've been using Tretinoin for about 6 months now and it's been a game-changer. I started with a tiny amount every other night to let my skin adjust. Initial irritation was annoying, but it quickly subsided. My skin is much smoother and my acne has greatly improved, but it's definitely not for everyone. Be patient and consistent, it takes time! Sticking to a good moisturizer and sunscreen is crucial, especially in the first few weeks. It can make your skin really sensitive.
I skipped a week after oil product use by accident and had no flaking or peeling despite no oil for the week. But this is a really strong cream, so be careful.
I've been using Tretinoin for a few months and my skin is so much better. I still get the occasional breakout, but it's nothing compared to what I used to deal with. The key is to be patient and consistent. I use the cream every other night and always wear sunscreen during the day.
I've been using it for a few years now to keep my acne in check. The key for me has been to start with a tiny amount and gradually increase. I use it every other night and my skin has improved a lot. The burning and stinging were tough at first, but now I rarely have issues. It's also helped with my fine lines, which is a bonus! I'd say, give it a real shot and if you experience major problems, talk to your doctor!
