Has anyone used Trispec PSE Liquid for cold symptoms? It helps to thin mucus, clear nasal passages, and reduce the urge to cough. What are your experiences for side effects, and does this medication help you?
I recently picked up Trispec PSE Liquid to help manage symptoms from an awful cold and flu. The medicine seems to help with both mucus buildup and nasal congestion, which are usually the worst parts. However, I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, particularly the allergic reaction symptoms. The list of possible problems isn't super long, but I'm not sure what to do if I experience them. I'm also a bit worried about dizziness and feeling too excited or nervous because of this medication. Has anyone else tried this medicine and how do side effects hit you? How important is it to consult a doctor before taking it?

I had a bad reaction to pseudoephedrine once, and it was scary. I've heard of people having allergic reactions to Trispec PSE. I'd definitely recommend consulting with a doctor first, especially if you have a history of allergies. Maybe even get an epinephrine shot scripted or something?
I think the dextromethorphan is what helps with the cough the most. It's amazing how it reduces the urge to cough. I wish they'd sell it over the counter by itself!
I've used guaifenesin before in other meds, and I find it helps to clear out the mucus. But the pseudoephedrine is a bit iffy. It helps clear out my nose but I can't sleep if I take it later in the day.
Trispec PSE is a lifesaver for me during cold season! I haven't experienced any major side effects, just a bit of dizziness sometimes. But it really helps with the chest congestion and cough. I always keep a bottle on hand.
I've tried everything from guaifenesin to antihistamines, and this stuff is the only thing that works for me. It's a bit pricy but I save money in the long run by avoiding over-the-counter meds that don't work (and don't forget side effects!)
I've used Trispec PSE before and it really helped with my congestion but I had trouble sleeping for a few nights. I think better sleep could help me feel better, but this medicine might be making it worse.
I've been using it for a week now and haven't noticed any side effects. It's been great for my congestion and cough. I'm just glad I can breathe through my nose again.
I didn't have any severe side effects, but I did feel a bit jittery and had trouble sleeping. It was annoying but not bad enough to stop taking it. It did help with my congestion and cough, so overall I thought it was worth it. I have a lot of allergies, so I'm glad it didn't hurt me. Do you know if the pseudoephedrine is what causes the jitters?
Be careful with this stuff. I took too much one time and ended up in the ER. Allergic reaction. Don't mess around with that stuff.
