I've been suffering from a horrible cold that has left me with a persistent cough and a stuffy nose. My doctor recommended Tusnel DM Liquid, which combines guaifenesin, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. Has anyone found it effective for relieving both coughing and sinus congestion? I've read about the potential side effects, which include dizziness and trouble sleeping, but I'm hoping the benefits outweigh the risks. Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone noticed if Tusnel DM Liquid makes their cold symptoms worse before they get better? I took a few doses and felt like I was getting sicker for a day before I started to feel relief

Really? I have been taking it for years and never had any trouble.

Be careful with the dizziness side effect. I took it on an empty stomach and it made me feel unsteady on my feet for a good hour.

I have had it once and it was great! But I was taking such a high dose I could barely sleep. The side effects were bad but it cleared out my lungs and sinuses!

I can’t recommend it enough. It’s great for the mucus buildup, and I find that it opens up my nasal passages nicely too. Just be careful with the dosage, especially if you have other medications on board. It's always best to consult with your doctor.

I wouldn’t take it if you have a heart condition. I have a heart condition and my doctor said to stay away from drugs with phenylephrine.

Never had any issues with it, I take it every winter for my annual sinus infection. Helps with nighttime coughing, but don't drive after taking it. I got a bit dizzy.

This is my second time using it for cold symptoms because it really broke down the mucus in my lungs. Give it a shot, just follow the instructions carefully.

I've used Tusnel DM Liquid a few times this year, and it's been a lifesaver for those stubborn coughs and stuffy noses. It's taken care of my symptoms quickly without any major side effects.
