I was just prescribed Venelex Ointment 5gm for a pressure wound, and I'm a bit nervous about trying a new topical medication. The doctor said it contains Balsam Peru and Castor Oil, which are supposed to help with blood flow and wound moisture, but I'm not sure what to expect. Has anyone else used this before? What were your results and did you experience any side effects? I read the list of possible side effects and it's a bit scary. I'm hoping to hear from others who have used this and can share their experience, both good and bad. I was also wondering, is there anything I can do to help speed up the healing process? Any tips or tricks are appreciated!

I heard the stinging is normal and I just have to get used to it. Also, I've heard that someone should avoid using it if you have a known allergy to Balsam Peru. That's one of the active ingredients and it could cause an allergic reaction.

I'm applying it right now and it's been a good experience for me. Just make sure you talk to your doctor and don't be afraid to reach out to them if you get any weird symptoms.

Venelex is worth a shot but be careful with it. I used it for a few days and it seemed fine, but then I got a really bad rash. I had to stop using it and see a doctor. It's scary stuff.

I used it after my surgery and it was a genie in the bottle. I apply it for a few weeks and it worked wonders, but make sure to keep the area clean.
