Has anyone with severe COPD and chronic bronchitis tried Roflumilast? How has it worked for you?
I've been struggling with severe COPD and chronic bronchitis for years, and my doctor recently mentioned Roflumilast as a potential treatment to reduce flare-ups and improve my lung function. From what I've read, it works by reducing inflammation in the lungs, but it's not meant for sudden breathing problems. I'm curious to hear from others who have tried it. How has it affected your daily life? Did you notice a significant improvement in your symptoms? Were there any side effects? Also, how does it compare to other treatments like inhaled corticosteroids or bronchodilators? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I was on Roflumilast for a while, but I found that the side effects were too much for me to handle. I switched back to my previous medication and haven't looked back since. Everyone's different, though, so it might be worth giving it a shot.
I've heard good things about Roflumilast from my pulmonologist. It's not a cure-all, but it can definitely help manage symptoms and reduce the frequency of exacerbations. Definitely worth discussing with your doctor.
I wonder how Roflumilast compares to other anti-inflammatory medications. Has anyone tried both and noticed a difference? Also, does it interact with other meds?
I wish I could ask my doctor. Not sure if mine would prescribe something. Do you have to be a certain level of COPD for this or something? Roflumilast is not cheap
I've been using Roflumilast for a while now and it has helped reduce the frequency of exacerbations. It's expensive but if it helps you breathe better, it's worth it. I hope this medication helps some of you!
Roflumilast didn't work for me at all. I had no side effects, which was good, but it didn't do much for my symptoms. I ended up going back to my old meds. Maybe something new will come along that works better!
Roflumilast sounds promising. I have COPD but not chronic bronchitis. I wonder if it would help me too? I've been looking into other options that are shown to reduce inflammation or support lung function so I might be able to fight off infections more easily.
This is great to hear. While it does help with some medical conditions, inflammation is important for fighting off some infections. I wonder if Roflumilast impairs the body's ability to fight infections.
