I've been suffering from both constipation and indigestion lately, and my doctor prescribed Mag-Oxide 420mg tablets. It is quite fascinating how this mineral supplement works by neutralizing stomach acid and drawing water into the intestines. I've read it can also provide essential magnesium to the body. Has anyone else tried this? I'm curious to know if it's worked for others and if there were any side effects. It seems like a great solution, but I wonder if it's too good to be true. I don't want to experience any severe allergic reactions or other side effects.

Dosage is important. The reason you need 420mg is that the body needs a lot of magnesium to make muscle function. If you don’t have enough, you can get muscle cramps and spasms. You should talk to your doctor, but it shouldn't be dangerous unless you have a severe side effect. If you have diarrhea, that’s not a severe side effect, but it’s not fun.

Mag-Oxide worked for me, but I had to stop because it made me really gassy. Not a fun time.

I had no issues at all. Also, I drink at least 8 cups of water a day. That probably helped.

What’s the difference between 420mg and other doses? I tried 240mg last year and got no help.

I've been using Mag-Oxide for a couple of months now, and it's been a game-changer. No more heartburn or constipation. It's great, but it disappeared from my pharmacy shelf. I've found a good online retailer, but it's gone up in price. All mag supplements seem to have a few side effects, but none I’ve found so far, and it’s worth it. I might switch to a different brand if the price increases too much.

I took Mag-Oxide after my doctor recommended it. It helped with my indigestion, but I didn't notice any change in my constipation. Maybe I just need to give it more time.

I have heard that magnesium oxide can be very helpful with muscle cramps. Magnesium is an important mineral for muscle function, especially in the heart and legs. I tried it for this reason. I didn't get the cramps, but I did get the diarrhea.

I tried this for my constipation and it worked fine. I did notice some side-effects, but nothing that bothered me too much. I will continue to use it.

Does anyone know if it's safe to take Mag-Oxide while breastfeeding? I can't find a lot of information on that.

I had a bad reaction to it. I ended up with terrible diarrhea, and it went on for a couple of days. I had to stop taking it. I’ll stick with my regular antacid.
