I was recently prescribed Sertraline 50mg for my OCD. It's been a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure if I'm feeling any better. I want to know if anyone else has taken this medication for OCD or anxiety. What were your experiences? How long did it take to feel better? I'd appreciate any insights or advice. Also, I'm curious about the side effects people have experienced. The list seems pretty long, and I'm not sure what to expect. That being said, I know everyone is different, so I'd love to hear real experiences and not just what the pamphlet says. I want to know if taking it at the same time each day really makes a difference, and if there are any tips to deal with some of the side effects like dizziness and diarrhea. Any help would be much appreciated! Please and thank you!

Sertraline gave me the worst diarrhea. Like, I was afraid to leave the house. But my doctor said to stick with it, and after a few weeks, it went away. Now, I'm doing much better. Give it some time.

I've tried Sertraline, but it didn't work for me. Everyone is different, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't work for you. I'm on a different medication now, and it's helped a lot.

I've been on Sertraline for 6 months, and my OCD is completely gone. I had drunk some alcohol on day 20 and had hallucinations for 3 days later, which was not fun. Just a heads up, maybe stay away from alcohol.

Sertraline gave me the worst brain zaps when I stopped taking it. I wish my doctor had warned me about that. Other than that, it was okay. I am still dealing with anxiety, but I have not found anything that works well for me.

I've been on Sertraline for a year now, and it's made a huge difference in my anxiety. I still get anxious, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was. And the side effects? I had some dizziness, but it went away. I also started taking it at the same time each day, and I think that helped too.

I felt sick as a dog for the first few weeks. Like, literally flu-like symptoms. But after that, I felt a bit better. I am not sure it is worth it for me, but I hope it works for you. I stopped taking it, but I am still dealing with the anxiety

Sertraline has been a game-changer for me. It took about 6 weeks to start feeling the effects, but now I can actually leave the house without constantly checking if the stove is off. Stick with it, and definitely talk to your doctor about any side effects.

Sertraline saved my life. I was in a dark place, and this medication brought me back to the light. I had some side effects at first, but they went away. Be patient, and give it a chance.

I switched my dose to 50mg and have never felt worse. I had the worst brain zaps and even some skin irritations. I had to switch back to 25mg. Maybe consider starting at a lower dose? Talk to your doctor.

I'm on week 3 of Sertraline, and I'm not sure if it's helping or not. I've had some nausea and dizziness, but other than that, nothing. I'm going to give it another few weeks before I make a decision.
