Have you or anyone you know been administered Flumazenil? What was your experience?
I recently had a medical procedure that required sedation. The doctor mentioned that in case of an emergency, they might give me Flumazenil to quickly reverse the effects. I've never heard of this medication before and was curious to know if anyone else has had experience with it. What were your experiences with Flumazenil? Did you experience any side effects? Just remember, Flumazenil can cause seizures, so it's not something to be taken lightly. Always make sure there's medical supervision.
I had a bad reaction. Started shaking uncontrollably and had a hard time breathing. Scariest moment of my life. Doctors said it was rare but possible.
Reporting side effects to the FDA is easy. Just check out the website. It's all online. You know, in case you ever need it.
The worst part for me was the headache. It lasted for hours after the procedure and the doctors said it was from the Flumazenil.
I swear I felt like I was going crazy for a few hours. Mood swings, agitation, the works. Definitely not a fun time.
My nurse told me that if I felt any burning or pain at the injection site, to let her know right away. Sure enough, I did and she took care of it quickly.
I've had it a few times after surgeries. It's scary how quickly it can make you wake up, but it's a lifesaver.
I got flumazenil to reverse the side effects of another medication that I had taken. I think people use flumazenil too often without realizing what it does.
I had a very terrible experience. I had a seizure and was very agitated. I couldn't get to sleep, and had a dry mouth for the next few hours. It was not pleasant.
