Hello, I was prescribed Hemlibra 105mg/0.7ml Inj, 1 Vial a few months ago to help manage my hemophilia A. Initially, it was a game-changer. I had fewer bleeding episodes, and my overall quality of life improved. However, recently I noticed some strange changes in my skin color. I also experienced some joint pain and headaches. I know Hemlibra can have some side effects, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues. What should I do if I notice these changes in my skin color? Should I seek immediate medical attention, or is this something I can discuss with my doctor during my next appointment? I'm also curious about how others have managed side effects and if there are any tips or tricks out there. Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you can share!

This is a serious issue. Only doctors should be giving advice here.

While Hemlibra has been a lifesaver for many, it's crucial to stay vigilant about side effects. I've had friends who experienced joint pain and headaches, and they managed it with over-the-counter pain meds and rest. However, the skin color change is something you should not ignore. It could be a sign of a serious allergy. Call your doctor right away and get to the ER if you feel it's an emergency. I think you are probably right to consider your options.

I haven't had any side effects, but I'm pretty sure I'll still ask my doctor about it as I don't want to end up having to look at the end of my life with a skin color change from what I know can be a really bad drug. That could have been a lot of fun.

This is scary stuff. I was hoping to stay off anything with serious side effects.

I'm also scared to take medications that are this risky. Imagine if you got sick and you were at work or school and you had a seizure because some doctor gave you the wrong dosage. I think I'll stay away from this.

I've been on Hemlibra for a few months now, and I've had some injection site reactions, but nothing too serious. I think it's important to remember that everyone's experience with medication can be different. What works for one person might not work for another. If you're experiencing severe side effects, definitely talk to your doctor about it. But don't let the fear of side effects keep you from trying a medication that could significantly improve your quality of life. Best of luck with your treatment!
