I recently started using Hercep Hylec 60-10000 Solution for my HER2-positive breast cancer. I was doing well the first injections, but now I'm having some serious issues with fatigue and body pain. I've also noticed some mouth irritation. My doctor is unsure whether it's because of the medication or the cancer. I've even had to stop some of my normal routines because of the pain. I'm considering whether to keep using Hercep Hylec for the risk of side effects are too high, but I'd like to hear others' experiences? Should I switch to another treatment? I'd appreciate any advice or insights from anyone who has been through this.

I feel you on the depression side effect. It can seem like hopelessness is the only outcome for a while. But don't forget to appreciate the good days, and try to get support when you have the bad ones!

Have you tried any complementary therapies like acupuncture or massage? They might help with the pain and fatigue. You can explore some holistic treatments with your doctor first, period.

Try to stay active and exercise regularly. It can really help with the fatigue and overall well-being. But listen to your body and rest when you need to. You've got this!

I switched from Herceptin infusions to Hercep Hylec and I've found the injections to be much less painful than the IVs. It's a bit rough on your body, but it is worth it to feel the treatment working. Stick with it as long as you can.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It's always a tough decision to switch treatments. If you're considering it, maybe ask your doctor about other HER2-targeted treatments like Kadcyla. It's an infusion, but it has a different side effect profile. But overall, I think the side effects of Hercep Hylec are worth it.

Honestly, I think the side effects are worth it. I've seen my tumor markers drop significantly since starting Hercep Hylec. Just make sure to communicate openly with your doctor about how you're feeling. They can adjust the treatment plan if need be.

I had a similar experience with the depression and fatigue. It's worth discussing with your doctor. They might adjust the dosage or switch to a different treatment if it's too much. But don't stop without talking to them first. I'm glad I continued because my remission is going well.

I've heard mixed reviews about this medication. Some people swear by it, while others say the side effects are unbearable. Have you tried any alternative treatments or talked to your doctor about switching?

I've been on Hercep Hylec for a few months now, and while the side effects are tough, I've found that staying hydrated and eating small, frequent meals helps with the fatigue and stomach issues. Also, talk to your doctor about pain management options. It's a journey and everyone responds differently.
