I've been struggling with athlete's foot for months, trying various creams with little success. My doctor recently prescribed butenafine 1% cream, and I've seen a significant improvement in just a week. I was worried about side effects, especially the urgent ones like skin irritation at the application site, but fortunately, I haven't experienced any. The burning, redness, and swelling have subsided. I'm curious if others have had similar experiences or if there are any tips for using this cream effectively. Also, does anyone know if it's safe to use this cream while also taking oral antifungal medications? Does anyone else feel like this stuff works better than some of the cheaper over-the-counter brands? I'm really hoping to kick this infection for good this time!

I had to stop using this cream because it made my skin burn really badly. I had to switch to something else but I'm not sure what it was.

I had a severe allergic reaction to butenafine. I woke up with hives all over my body and my face was swollen like a balloon. It turned out to be a good thing though because I went to the ER and got allergy shots which have been a game changer. It wasn't worth the money to me in the long run.

I've always had great success with this cream and I've tried just about everything. It's also good for jock itch too.

I had a bad reaction to this. I had to switch to a different medication. I was allergic to it.

butenafine cream is amazing for athletes foot. Just make sure you apply to a clean, dry area and wash your hands thoroughly after each application.

Do you think you can treat toenail fungus with this cream? I've heard mixed reviews. I just want to know if anyone has actual experience with this.
