I've recently been prescribed Synthroid 0.112mg (112mcg) tablets for hypothyroidism. I'm a bit worried about the possible side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? How often do they happen? And what can I do if I think I'm experiencing something serious? I'm also curious about the other side effects that aren't as urgent. What can I do if I experience those?

I felt pretty tired and weak when I first started taking Synthroid. But after a few weeks, I felt much better. I've read that feeling tired or weak is common at first, but it should go away.

I had a bad reaction to Synthroid a few years ago and my doctor switched me to another medication. Everyone reacts differently, so don't be too worried if you experience side effects. Just talk to your doctor and see what they suggest.

My doctor was really helpful in explaining the side effects to me, and she also recommended that I report any unexpected side effects to the FDA. Has anyone else done that? I'm wondering if it makes any difference.

I've been on Synthroid for years and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of hair loss at first, but it grew back. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any urgent side effects, it's better to be safe.
