I've been prescribed Lamivudine 10mg/ml Oral Solution to treat my chronic Hepatitis B. I've heard it's also used for HIV treatment, but I'm not sure how it works for either condition. Can anyone share their experience with this medication? Is it effective? What side effects should I be aware of? I've read about some pretty serious ones like lactic acidosis and pancreatitis. How common are these? What should I do if I experience any side effects? Also, how does it interact with other medications? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Lamivudine for a couple of months now as part of my HIV treatment regimen. So far, it's been manageable. I've experienced some mild side effects like headaches and upset stomach, but nothing too severe. Just make sure to stay hydrated and take it with food if you get stomach issues. I haven't had any of the serious side effects but I'm being very mindful of any changes. Always good to stay in touch with your doctor!

Can anyone tell me if it's okay to take Lamivudine with other medications? I'm on a few other meds for other conditions, and I'm a bit worried about interactions.

I feel like the side effects are pretty manageable. I get a bit of fatigue, but nothing I can't handle. Just remember to listen to your body and report any unusual symptoms to your doctor. Even if it seems minor, it's worth checking out.

Lamivudine has been a game-changer for me. I was worried about the serious side effects, but luckily, I’ve only had minor issues. Just remember to stay on top of your blood tests. They monitor liver and kidney function, and can catch any issues early.

I switched to Lamivudine after my Hepatitis B flared up. The transition was smooth, but I had to be vigilant about checking for side effects. I've heard the severe ones are rare, but it's always better to know what to look out for. Lamivudine is actually a common part of combination therapy for HIV. I guess it works well with other antivirals.

I'm not sure about the exact mechanics, but I know Lamivudine is used in combination therapy because it helps prevent the virus from developing resistance. It’s all about keeping the viral load low, right?
