I've been prescribed Losartan 50mg Tablets to help manage my high blood pressure. After researching it, I found that it's an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which helps lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. I want to know more about it. I'm worried about the side effects and possible interactions. I know it's for lower blood pressure but also helps protect kidneys in people with diabetes and high blood pressure. What is your experience taking it? Has anyone noticed any serious side effects?

I've been taking Losartan for a few years now, and it's been great for my blood pressure. I didn't experience any serious side effects, just a bit of dizziness at first, but that went away. Oh yeah, and stuffy nose. I can't remember my doctor telling me about that.

I was concerned about the side effects too, but my doctor assured me that the benefits outweigh the risks. I had a few issues with diarrhea but other than that, it's been fine. Always chat with your doctor if you notice anything weird.

This might be useful to anyone worried about hydration. One thing that helped me was staying really well hydrated. Drink plenty of water, especially when you first start using it. I've noticed my blood pressure is much easier to manage. Also, I think it's important to monitor your potassium levels regularly

Losartan really helped me reduce my risk of stroke. I had some kidney issues, so my doctor prescribed it to protect my kidneys. I noticed some swelling in my arms and legs in the first weeks, but my doctor said it was normal.

Make sure you don't stop taking it suddenly. It can cause a rebound effect, where your blood pressure goes up even higher.

Does anyone know if Losartan interacts with other medications? I'm on a few others, and I want to make sure it's safe.
