I've been prescribed Temozolomide 140mg Capsules for a recent diagnosis of a certain type of brain tumor. The doctor explained how it works, but I'm curious to know more about the experience of others who have taken this medication. Does anyone have personal experience in dealing with the side effects, especially concerning the severe ones? Any tips on managing the day-to-day challenges with this treatment would be much appreciated.

The worst was the mouth sores. I had to switch to a different toothpaste and mouthwash recommended by my doctor. It helped keep the sores at a minimum. Also, I found that drinking through a straw helped with the sores.

I was really worried about the side effects, but I've managed them well with my team of doctors. I never had any major issues, just the usual stuff like fatigue and nausea. The key is to stay in touch with your medical team.

I lost my appetite completely for a couple of months. My doctor suggested eating lots of high-calorie, easy-to-eat snacks throughout the day. It worked wonders! When you feel like eating, you eat, even if it's just a small bite.

I started taking Temozolomide a few months ago, and I've had some nasty side effects. The nausea was pretty bad at first, but my doctor prescribed some anti-nausea meds that helped a lot. Now the fatigue is the real struggle.

Does anyone have tips for the mood changes? I've been a bit of a roller coaster lately.

I had some mental fog for a while, but it got better over time. Just be patient and give your body time to adjust. Sleep was a big issue at first, but I started using melatonin and it really helped. Also, eating small, frequent meals helped with the nausea.

I've been on Temozolomide for about a year now. The worst part was the initial fatigue, but after a few weeks, it got better. What helped me was staying active—even gentle walks made a difference. And definitely get a good pillow for those nights when the headaches are terrible.

I never want to hear about nausea again. Seriously though, it was bad but manageable. My oncologist moved me to a different schedule for the meds and it made a big difference.
