My doctor prescribed me Anecream 5% Cream to help with the pain and itching from hemorrhoids. This seems to be a popular choice, as it is convenient to use. I've heard it's like a topical anesthetic, temporarily numbing the area to provide relief. How has it worked for you? What kind specific advice do you have? Have you encountered any issues, like side effects or applying it? Please share any tips or tricks you've learned, like how often to apply it or how long it usually takes for relief.

I had a bad reaction to Anecream. I started feeling really dizzy and my skin turned a bit blue. I looked it up and turns out it was a serious side effect. I had to go to the ER and they told me I have methemoglobinemia. I'm glad I got help fast.

Hang in there everyone, I've been there. It sucks but these treatments do wonders. Anecream doesn't smell great but it's worth the relief.

I've used Anecream for my hemorrhoids and it's been a lifesaver. I apply a pea-sized amount after cleaning the area and it starts to work within minutes. I've been using it for a week now and it's made a huge difference in my discomfort. I've also switched to a softer toilet paper and avoid straining during bowel movements to prevent further irritation

I've been using Anecream for a few days now and I feel like it's helping but I still can't sit for long periods. I wonder if anyone has any advice for good sitting positions while recovering from hemorrhoids?

Be careful with the dosage, though. I used too much last time and ended up with a weird tingling sensation. Make sure to follow the instructions on the package. I also experienced slight redness and swelling around the application area.

I've had a bit of trouble with the application. It feels kind of messy, what advice do you have for best way to use it?

I had a similar experience. Anecream worked well for the initial pain and itching but didn’t seem to reduce the hemorrhoids themselves. I ended up switching to a combination of lifestyle changes and a different topical cream. I also started drinking more water each day and eating more fiber to soften my stools. It's been a game changer and Anecream helped with the immediate relief until I got the lifestyle changes made.
