I was recently prescribed Ingrezza 40mg Sprinkle Capsules for tardive dyskinesia, a side effect from my mental health medication. I've been struggling with uncontrolled body movements, and I'm hoping this will help. Has anyone else tried Ingrezza? How effective was it, and what side effects did you experience? I've read about the potential for serious reactions, so I'm a bit concerned. Any insights or personal experiences would be really helpful!

My doctor warned me about the risk of neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS). That's terrifying stuff. Hoping it doesn't come to that.

I suffered from tardive dyskinesia myself, and I was fortunate to have Ingrezza as an option. It definitely helped to manage the symptoms, though the side effects were unfortunate. I had a bit of trouble sleeping at first, but it eased up over time. It's a bit of a trade-off, but I prefer this over the dyskinesia. Another thing to consider is that Ingrezza works by helping to balance certain chemicals in the brain that control movement, so it should theoretically help with the symptoms. Communication with my doctor was key to managing the side effects effectively.

Ingrezza was a game-changer for me. I had severe tardive dyskinesia, and within a few weeks, the movements started to reduce significantly. The side effects were manageable, mostly just some fatigue and dizziness. Overall, definitely worth it for the relief it brought. Just make sure to stay in regular contact with your doctor to monitor your condition and any side effects.

I had a friend who was prescribed Ingrezza, and he experienced some pretty severe side effects. I'd suggest keeping a close eye on it and catching any issues early on.

I heard Ingrezza can cause Parkinson's-like symptoms. Is that true, or just a scare tactic? I mean, really hope that isn't the case.

Wow, this sounds like a lifesaver for some people. But those side effects are a bit scary. Did you have to make any lifestyle changes to accommodate them?

Pro tip: If you experience side effects, keep a log of them and report them to your doctor. It's easier to manage when you can provide specific details about when and how often they occur.

I've been on Ingrezza for about 6 months now. It's definitely helped with the twitching and jerky movements, but I've had some drowsiness and constipation as side effects.
