I was recently prescribed Nystatin/triamcinolone Ointment 30gm for a persistent fungal infection that's also causing some inflammation. I've used it a few times now, and I'm not sure if it's working as well as I hoped. The ointment contains Nystatin to treat the fungal infection and Triamcinolone to reduce redness and swelling. Has anyone else used this ointment? How long did it take for you to see results? I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the more severe ones like signs of allergic reactions or high blood sugar. How common are these side effects? Any tips on managing them or making the most of this treatment?

I've heard that the steroid in this ointment can cause some serious side effects if you use it for too long. Make sure to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter. Don't overuse it just because you're not seeing immediate results.

I used this for a skin condition that had both a fungal infection and inflammation. It completely cleared up, but I had to stop using it the moment I got a yeast infection, which is a serious side effect in some people. I took my prescribed meds while stopping use.

I was prescribed this for a fungal infection, but I wish I had known about the potential side effects. I had to stop using it after I started experiencing symptoms of high blood sugar, which was scary.

I had a really bad reaction to this ointment. I broke out in hives and had a lot of trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER. Be careful and if you start feeling really sick, stop using it and get help right away.

My doctor prescribed this to me, and I was really worried about the side effects. But honestly, I didn't experience any of the serious ones. Just a bit of dry skin, which was easy to manage. Stick with it, and you'll see results.

I was so scared of the side effects that I hardly used it. But honestly, I didn't experience any of the serious ones. Just a bit of dry skin, which was easy to manage.

I applied it as directed and everything went well. Once the infection was gone, I stopped using it and everything was fine. I do recommend taking pictures of the affected skin so you have a visual record of your progress.

I used this ointment for a yeast infection a few months ago, and it worked wonders. It took about a week to see a noticeable difference, but it definitely cleared up the infection and reduced the swelling. Side effects were minimal—just a bit of itching at first.

I've used this ointment a few times and it works well for fungal infections, but it can make your skin really dry. Make sure to moisturize the area after using it. I switched to a different cream for the dryness, but I was still worried about the steroid part of it.

How often are you applying the ointment? I found that applying it twice a day was much more effective than once. Just be careful with the amount you use. It's easy to put on too much and waste it.
