I've been using Periogard 0.12% Alcohol-Free Rinse for a few weeks now to treat my gingivitis. It's been recommended by my dentist, and I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. Does it really help with gum inflammation and bleeding? Are there any side effects that I should be aware of? Has anyone experienced any temporary or permanent changes in taste? Also, how do you manage the staining on your teeth and fillings? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Tartar buildup is a real issue with this rinse. Make sure you're getting your teeth professionally cleaned regularly to manage it. It's a bit annoying, but managing dental care is a long haul game.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a severe allergic reaction the first time I used it. My mouth swelled up, and I had trouble breathing. Had to rush to the ER. Turns out I'm allergic to chlorhexidine. Not fun. Listen to your dentist and discuss the side effects thoroughly.

Periogard has been a game-changer for me. My gums used to bleed every time I brushed, but after a few weeks of using it, the bleeding stopped completely. I also noticed less inflammation. The staining is a bit annoying, but it's worth it for the relief. Just make sure to brush regularly and schedule more frequent dental cleanings.

Dentist recommended it to me, and I hate it. It feels like an antiseptic mouthwash overkill. Plus, the taste is awful. I'd rather suffer the gum bleeding than deal with that taste.

I switched to Periogard from a different antiseptic rinse and noticed a significant improvement. The alcohol-free formula is great because it doesn't burn like some other rinses. However, I did experience a temporary change in taste, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Definitely worth a try if you're struggling with gingivitis.

I'm on the fence about this one. It seems to work well, but the staining is a major turn-off. I've had to get my teeth whitened more often just to keep them looking decent. It's a trade-off for sure.

I’ve been using it for a while and haven’t noticed any changes in taste, though I do hate the staining. I’ve tried every home remedy to fight it as I'm not a fan of dental cleanings. It's annoying but manageable.
