I've been trying to quit smoking for years, and my doctor prescribed Varenicline. No more nicotine addiction! I've heard it's effective, but I'm nervous about the side effects. Common complaints include a dry mouth, nausea, and odd dreams i've managed to avoid. I have no experience with serious adverse reactions, but I've heard horror stories. Anyone else on Varenicline? How's it going? Tips for minimizing side effects, perhaps? I'm really hoping this works, but I'm trying to be realistic about the challenges.

I'm on day 3 and I'm already feeling better. I've had some mild side effects, nothing too bad. My doctor told me that they are normal and should go away after a few weeks. I'm hopeful this will work for me. It's so addictive. For the past month I've cut down a lot. Maybe 15 cigarettes a day. Before that 40 cigarettes a day, so it's a lot better than before.

I've been on Varenicline for a month and I feel great! I haven't had any side effects and I don't crave cigarettes at all. I'm so glad I found this medication, I just wish I had started sooner. I've been using this medication for a while now, and I've been a lot happier.

I'm on day 5 and so far, so good. No real side effects except for a bit of nausea. I'm hoping it stays this way. I've been using the nicotine patches in the past and had a lot more success with Varenicline. At the moment I just feel a bit tired.

I had no idea Varenicline could cause such serious side effects. I'm glad I read this before I started taking it. I think I'll stick to the patch.

I was on Varenicline and had a really bad reaction. I started having suicidal thoughts and had to stop immediately. I'm glad I did because it wasn't worth it. I wish my doctor had warned me about that side effect. I also didn't know it could cause such a wide range of mental illness issues.

Varenicline saved my life. I had tried everything to quit, and nothing worked. This was my last resort, and it worked. I haven't smoked in 2 years. The side effects were rough, but they went away after a few weeks.

I'm on my second week, and I'm already feeling better mentally. I've had some mild side effects, nothing too bad. My doctor told me that they are normal and should go away after a few weeks. So far so good, though I do plan to quit Varenicline after the recommended course, and try to go back to CBD for any withdrawal symptoms rather than smoking, or even patches. I wish I had done this sooner,

Give it a shot, but if you start feeling weird, stop. I had to stop after a week because I was having some really bad dreams and anxiety. I'm going to try the patch next. The joke is that it was the last thing I tried which saved me. My friends told me to stop smoking, and I replied 'I can't even stop eating smoke flavoured foods'
