I've been prescribed Lurasidone 80mg Tablets to help manage my bipolar depression. It's been a few months now, and I've noticed some improvements in my mood stability. However, I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How has it worked for you? What side effects did you experience, and how did you manage them? I've been lucky to avoid the severe side effects, but I have dealt with some dizziness and drowsiness. I'm trying to figure out if these are just temporary or if I should talk to my doctor about adjusting the dosage or switching medications. Also, I've heard about the potential for weight gain—has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you handle it?

Lurasidone has been a game-changer for me. I was on a different medication before, but it had horrible side effects. I've been on 80mg for about six months now, and I've noticed a significant reduction in my manic episodes. The biggest side effect I've had is some weight gain, but it's manageable with a good diet and exercise. I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks.

Heavy breathing is scary, some of these side effects sound worse than some of the symptoms, right?

Theoretically, if you have neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), you might not even notice it until it's too late. It's scary to think about. How can we keep an eye out for it while staying sane?

If you think you have issues with your hormones on this medication, talk to your doctor immediately. It could be a sign of something more serious. I had a problem with enlarged breasts, and it was scary. I can't imagine what it would have been like if I had gone untreated.

I started taking Lurasidone 80mg tablets a few months ago and I'm really struggling with the weight gain. I've gained about 20 pounds in the last three months, and it's been really tough to manage. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, what strategies have worked for you? I've tried changing my diet and increasing my exercise, but it's not enough. I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle here.

I've been on Lurasidone for about a year now, and it's been a positive experience overall. I had some initial restlessness and sleep disturbances, but they faded after a few weeks. The drowsiness is annoying, but it’s better than the alternative. I've also gained some weight, but nothing drastic. I think the benefits outweigh the side effects for my situation.

I've been lucky enough to avoid the severe side effects, but I've had a few issues with dizziness and dry mouth. I've found that drinking plenty of water helps with the dry mouth, and the dizziness has been better when I stand up slowly. Overall, I think the medication has been worth it.

I can’t believe how many people do not eat with their meds, I get a bonus from this one. It's impossible to take it without food, it really hurts

I've heard horror stories about the hormonal changes. What's THAT like?

I've been on Lurasidone for a while now, and I've had some pretty bad side effects. I've experienced a lot of muscle stiffness and dizziness, which have made it really hard to function. I've also had some really bad trouble swallowing. I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle here, and I'm not sure what to do.
