I was recently prescribed Verapamil ER 200mg (24 Hr) to manage my high blood pressure and occasional angina episodes. My doctor assured me that this extended-release capsule would simplify my medication routine since it only needs to be taken once a day. However, after starting, I've experienced some dizziness and mild headaches. I've also read about its potential side effects and wanted to know if anyone else has had similar side effects or even more serious ones. I'm curious to hear about others' experiences with this medication, both positive and negative. Is it worth dealing with the occasional side effects for the benefits of lower blood pressure and reduced angina? What has your journey been like with Verapamil ER?

I switched to Verapamil ER from a different blood pressure medication, and I'm so glad I did. No more multiple pills a day! The only downside is the occasional constipation, but it's manageable.

I think it's important to note that while the extended-release version is convenient, it might not be for everyone. My doctor had to tweak my dosage a few times before I got it right.

I've had no major issues with Verapamil ER, but I did notice some weird liver symptoms at first—dark urine and yellow eyes. Definitely talked to my doctor about it, and she switched me to a different medication.

Verapamil ER has been a lifesaver for my angina. No more chest pain, and my blood pressure is finally under control. Just make sure to stay hydrated—it can dehydrate you a bit.
