How safe are Concept OB Capsules during pregnancy? Experiences with possible side effects?
I've been prescribed Concept OB Capsules by my OB-GYN and I want to know what to expect. The bottle has a section about urgent and non-urgent side effects, and while I am sure lots of women take these without problems, I'd love to hear about other women's first-hand experiences. Are there any side effects that were really annoying or hard to deal with? How did you handle them? Did your doctor suggest any remedies to you? Did you have any good experiences that I could expect, too? I'm really worried about any severe allergic reactions, like those listed in the drug info. I've heard that things like constipation and diarrhea can be pretty common but are easily managed. I've seen some mentions online about how the capsules can be hard to swallow since they are fairly large but that you can open them and add to food or drink. Has anyone else had that issue and how did you deal with it?

I've been taking Concept OB Capsules for a month now and haven't had any issues besides some mild constipation. I just make sure to drink lots of water and it's fine.
I read the label and freaked out. My doc said not to worry, it's rare to have a reaction. I didn’t but I really wished I had a friend that was taking these too. Let us know if you experience anything.
I tried opening the capsules and mixing them with yogurt. It tastes terrible. I think I'll stick to swallowing them whole.
I switched to a different brand because I kept getting diarrhea. I wish I had found this thread earlier to see if others had the same problem
I had a horrible allergic reaction to these capsules. Rashes, itching, and my face swollen up. I had to go to the ER. I'm glad someone made this thread, so other pregnant women can be informed.
My doctor suggested taking the capsules with a meal to help with any stomach discomfort. It worked for me.
I have been taking these for 3 weeks and the only thing I have experienced is a bit of nausea. I am taking them with food so it's not too bad. I'll let you know if it gets worse. I hope this is no big deal.
I've had no side effects. Knock on wood. I guess I just got lucky. Make sure to keep your doctor in the loop if you have any troubles!
I had some heartburn but it went away after a week. I drink milk and eat crackers when I feel it coming on. I think that's why it went away.
