Humalog Mix 50/50 KwikPen: My Experience and Side Effects

I've been using this insulin for a while now, and while it's okay, it's caused a lot of irritation at the injection site. I can use almost anything to relieve it, but it's still a pain. Does anyone have any tips?

I had a severe allergic reaction after my first dose. I had no idea it could cause that. I'm glad I didn't have to switch insulins, even though I'm allergic to Humalog. To doctors out there: tell your patients to watch out for symptoms.

I switched from another insulin to Humalog Mix 50/50 and I've noticed a big difference. I'm not sure if it's the '50/50' combination but my blood sugar levels have been so much more stable. No irritation at the injection site either, knock on wood.

I really hope I don't have to switch my insulin, but it's looking more and more likely. It's made me feel a bit unwell.
