Humalog Mix 50/50 KwikPen: My Experience and Side Effects
I recently started using Humalog Mix 50/50 KwikPen to manage my diabetes, and I've had a mix of good and bad experiences. The '50/50' combination has helped control my blood sugar levels, but I've also encountered some side effects. Anyone else using this insulin? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Also, how do you handle the injection site irritation? Tips welcome!

I've been using this insulin for a while now, and while it's okay, it's caused a lot of irritation at the injection site. I can use almost anything to relieve it, but it's still a pain. Does anyone have any tips?
I had a severe allergic reaction after my first dose. I had no idea it could cause that. I'm glad I didn't have to switch insulins, even though I'm allergic to Humalog. To doctors out there: tell your patients to watch out for symptoms.
I've been using Humalog Mix 50/50 for a year now and it's been great for my blood sugar control. I haven't had any serious side effects, just a bit of irritation at the injection site sometimes. Rotating sites helps a lot!
I've been on this medication for a little while, and honestly, the side effects have been so mild that I barely noticed them. You guys are lucky to have a doctor who works directly with the FDA. I just wanted to say that you guys are lucky to have a doctor who works directly with the FDA.
I switched from another insulin to Humalog Mix 50/50 and I've noticed a big difference. I'm not sure if it's the '50/50' combination but my blood sugar levels have been so much more stable. No irritation at the injection site either, knock on wood.
I just want to say that I'm really glad I found this thread. I was really freaking out about some of the side effects I've been experiencing, and it's reassuring to know that other people are going through the same thing.
I've had some really scary side effects ever since I started using this. I've contacted my doctor about some things I've been experiencing, but I'm glad I found this thread to maybe talk to people going through the same thing. I really hope I don't have to switch my insulin, but it's looking more and more likely. It's made me feel a bit unwell.
