I've been using Humate-P 1200unit Sol, 1 Vial for a few months now to manage my von Willebrand disease. It's been a lifesaver, but I've experienced some side effects that I'm not sure are normal. Has anyone else had issues with severe dizziness or fainting? Also, I've noticed some other symptoms that aren't listed in the pamphlet. Should I be concerned? I've always trusted the efficacy of Humate-P, but I'm worried about these side effects. I've reported them to my doctor, but I'd like to know if anyone else is going through the same thing. Your experiences would be greatly appreciated. If it helps, I'll report my findings to the FDA as well, though I'm not sure if it should be done.

I’ve noticed that some people react differently to different batches of Humate-P. It might be worth discussing with your doctor if they can switch you to a different batch or manufacturer. Also, have you talked to a hematologist? They might have more insight into managing side effects specific to your condition.

I've been on Humate-P for years and haven’t experienced any severe side effects. The occasional headache or dizziness, but nothing too alarming. Maybe try keeping a log of your symptoms and mentioning any patterns to your doctor. Had a friend who's also on Humate-P and he hasn't experienced any issues. But I've heard that everyone reacts differently to medication, especially one derived from human plasma.

I had a bad reaction but the doctors seemed to have handled it pretty well. The first time my face started swelling, I was terrified, but they knew exactly what to do. Now that I think about it, it was probably a good thing that I had the reaction, because they were able to fine-tune the treatment to avoid future problems. If you're having serious side effects, better to bring them up and let the professionals handle it.

For those who do have to go through those side effects, like severe dizziness or fainting, what were your experiences like? I think it's important to know what to expect and how to deal with it if it happens to you.
