Anyone know if there are any long-term effects from using Hydralazine? My doctor mentioned it might cause lupus-like symptoms in rare cases.
I had to use this drug for a patient with extremely high blood pressure and it was a lifesaver! The patient stabilized quickly, but I did have to monitor closely for side effects. The tradeoff was worth it in this case, but it's definitely something to be careful with.
I've had to use this on a patient once. Scary seeing the blood pressure plunge so fast, but it saved the day. Keeps in mind the drug can be a double-edged sword.
I've heard of some patients getting headaches, stomach issues after taking Hydralazine, but I don't have any experience. No one in my family had to take this drug
