I've been using Hydrocort 2% Lotion Complete Kit for my eczema, and while it's helped with the itching and redness, I've also experienced some severe side effects. I started noticing mood changes, severe dizziness, and even passed out once. I'm worried because I also have a weakened immune response, which might be worsening my symptoms. Has anyone else had similar experiences? How did you manage the side effects? I'm considering stopping the medication but need more information.

Thinning of the skin and severe headaches are definitely side effects worth paying attention to. I had to stop using Hydrocort 2% Lotion because it worsened my eczema. It is frustrating not to have effective medication and the ones that are available have such heavy implications of side effects.

This is why I avoid steroids as much as possible. The side effects are just not worth it. I've had better luck with natural remedies like aloe vera and coconut oil.

Your doctor should be able to guide you through the process. He should also help you understand the trade offs and how to manage your skin condition.

I can't believe more people aren't talking about these side effects. I had to switch to a different topical cream because of the burning and stinging. It was unbearable.

This lotion is supposed to be a mild steroid, but it sounds like it can be quite harsh on some people. Have you tried any other treatments or natural remedies for eczema?

I didn't know that Hydrocort 2% could cause such severe reactions. I've only experienced mild dryness and itching after 2% at the site of application. Maybe you should consult your doctor for alternative treatments. Have you tried hydrocortisone acetate? It's more expensive but should have fewer side effects.

I've never had such severe reactions but I agree it is worth talking to your doctor before continuing with that lotion. What is important is to monitor your condition regularly.

I had a similar experience with Hydrocort 2% Lotion. I noticed my skin started to thin and I had severe headaches. I consulted my doctor immediately and she suggested a lower dose. It helped, but it was really scary at first to consider stopping the medication altogether.

I've heard that some people have had success with compounded hydrocortisone creams from a pharmacy. Might be worth looking into. Also, you can report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-332-1088 or online at https://www.fda.gov/medwatch. It may help future patients. If you have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor.

I had a good experience with hydrocortisone but it doesn't seem like it for you. It is important to understand that everyone's body is different and reacts differently to medication. Always consider side effects and any unusual symptoms, even if your doctor tells you that you are an exception.
