I’ve been using Hydrocortisone 1% Cream 28.4gm to treat a persistent case of eczema for the past few weeks, and while it has helped reduce the redness and itching, I’ve noticed some dryness and tingling around the application site. Has anyone else dealt with side effects from this cream? It’s supposed to be a mild steroid, but I want to ensure I’m not experiencing anything serious. I’ve read about the potential for serious side effects, and I’m curious if anyone has had to deal with them or knows more about the risks. The product description mentions signs like swelling, hives, and trouble breathing as indications for medical help, but I thought it might be useful to hear real-life experiences. How did you manage the side effects? Did you stop using the cream, or did you consult a doctor?

My dermatologist told me to use the cream sparingly and only on the affected areas. Overuse can lead to thinning of the skin and other issues.

I had a severe reaction to hydrocortisone once. I got hives all over my body and had trouble breathing. Scary stuff! Definitely seek medical help if you experience any of those symptoms.

I suffered from extremely dry patches on my skin for over a year. It was a nightmare. I finally got fed up and made an appointment with the dermatologist. They couldn't believe I was able to manage to the point where I even considered using Hydrocortisone. They said it was a miracle! I'll do anything to avoid that situation ever happening again.

Can anyone recommend a good moisturizer to complement the Hydrocortisone? I want to ensure my skin stays hydrated without counteracting the cream.
