I've been using Hydrocortisone 1% Cream for a few weeks now to treat some pesky eczema patches. Overall, it's been great for reducing the redness and itching, but I've noticed some mild side effects like burning and dryness. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar issues or has any tips for managing them. Also, I'm a bit worried about the more serious side effects listed in the description—has anyone had any scary experiences with this cream?

The real issue with these creams is when you have to use them for a long period. The steroids can thin the skin and cause other issues, so definitely use it as a short-term solution rather than a long-term fix.

I had a really bad reaction to Hydrocortisone 1% once. I got hives and my throat started swelling up. It was terrifying. I had to go to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. It was a lot to handle.

I think the cream has worked well for me but I've noticed some hair growth in the area where I've been applying it. I looked it up and apparently, that's a known side effect. Anyone else experience this?

I've used this cream for years and never had any serious side effects. Just some occasional dryness, but that's about it.

I've had a lot of issues with itchy skin lately, I might have to try this. It sounds like the cream works well for some people. Hope it does the trick for me, too.

I had a friend who used this cream and ended up with weird stretch marks on her skin. Definitely something to be aware of. I'd stick to short-term use if possible.

I tried this cream once and it didn't do much for me. I had a rash that got worse after a few days. I switched to something stronger and it cleared up. Results might vary!
