I've been using Hydrocortisone 1% cream with aloe for a few weeks now to treat my mild eczema. It's been helpful, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the rare but serious ones. Has anyone else had any issues with this cream? I want to make sure I'm using it correctly and safely. I've noticed some minor irritation at the site of application, but I'm not sure if that's normal or if I should be concerned. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I'm just curious - how long have you been using it and how often are you applying it? I've been careful with mine because I've heard stories about people experiencing issues if they use it too often or in too large amounts. Also, I find it helps to moisturize after it's applied

I had a serious allergic reaction to hydrocortisone and had to get emergency care. It's rare but it does happen, so definitely be aware of the signs. Have you talked to your doctor about this? I would be cautious and keep an eye on any changes in your skin -- even minor ones.

I used it for a bit and noticed some skin irritation, but it went away after a few days. It might just be a minor reaction and nothing to worry about, but if it persists, definitely get it checked out.

Keep in mind that hydrocortisone can cause skin thinning with long-term use, so it might be worth switching to a different treatment if you notice any signs of that.

Be careful with the dosage and application. I used too much once and it caused some thinning of my skin. It's scary because you don't really notice it right away. It took a while for my skin to get back to normal after I stopped using it.

This stuff saved my life when I had a really bad reaction to something I ate. I had a rash all over my body and my doctor prescribed this. Within a few days, it was almost gone. If it's helping you, I say keep using it, but definitely keep an eye out for those serious side effects.

I've used it for years and haven't had any serious side effects. Just make sure you follow the instructions and don't use it for too long.
