I've been using Hydrocortisone Butyr 0.1% Cream for a few weeks now to treat my eczema, and I've had a mix of positive and concerning experiences. Initially, it seemed to calm down the redness and itching, but I've recently noticed some weird skin changes, like pimples and stretch marks, around the area I've been applying it. I've also felt a bit more tired than usual, and I'm worried it might be a sign of something more serious, like a weak adrenal gland. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? Should I be concerned?

Has anyone asked their dermatologist about this drug and their experience with it? And what did they say?

I had a friend who had to stop using it because of severe irritation. It's definitely a good idea to keep an eye on your symptoms. Maybe try to keep track of the skin changes you've noticed, along with the periods you are applying the cream. This will allow you to draw conclusions on whether the cream is at fault.

I had a similar reaction to a different steroid cream. It turned out I was allergic to one of the inactive ingredients. Might be worth double-checking the ingredient list with your doctor. Good luck!

I was surprised by how many side effects there are. I mean, I knew there would be some, but this is pretty extensive. I'm not sure if I'd use it again, even if I was prescribed it.

That's horrible! I've been using it for a while and haven't noticed any side effects so far. Let's hope they don't come!

I haven't had any issues with it, but I've only been using it for a couple of days. Fingers crossed it stays that way! Still, it's good to be informed about possible side effects.

Isn't that why they always say to use the smallest amount possible? I'm sure there are many doctors that recommend using this cream when prescribed while also recommending to use the minimal amount possible

I've been using it to treat psoriasis on my scalp, and it's been a lifesaver. No side effects so far, but I've been really careful to follow the instructions and not use more than I need. It's important to remember that everyone's experience with medication can be different. Always check with your doctor if you're unsure.
